The golden trio

Today we took a nice long walk with german shepards Freya and Rexy.

Rexy is Freyas son and Aapo is like a big brother to him. Aapo likes to play and be with him a lot :) Aapo is really happy and playful with him. The golden trio gets along just perfectly and enjoyes each others company.

The walk gave a great opportunity to show Rexy littlebit the world and also to fit dogs fysical shape. We walked about 10km and dogs are now so tired and satisfied. It was really nice day.

Unofficial obedience competition

Today we participated in our first unofficial obedience competition arranged by dog-school IPSON. We participated in beginners class and we got 82 points out of 100. It wasn't suprise, cause Aapo wasn't himself and I had difficulties to cheer him up. He was just clapped out. Yesterday I even considered if to participate in the competition or not, cause Aapo had the bad experience and I didn't know how he will be the next day, but either way we went and tried our best. So now we have done the entrence into obedience competitions and there's now opportunity to go only up (if something unexpectedness don't happen again) taken count of our 1st result.

Tubli Easter Walk

Today we had an Easter walk with dog-school Tubli dogs in Männiku.

In conclusion the walking was nice and the weather was in our favour.

But unfortunately this time the walking didn't go so good for us than the last times and Aapo got vapulated (bitten) :(( But that is always the risk when walking with so many different dogs, but in the other side it also gives a good opportunity to socialise. But unfortunately Aapo's eye surroundings got hurt, but luckly not so bad and it is healing now. The good thing is that his eye didn't get hurt, so it was a close one. Thanks to Inga's medical bag (we should also get it) she had good cleansing things to purify Aapo's eye instantly and what avoided the worst. But it was a shock for the both of us. Aapo was dyspeptic for some time and even now his not guite himself. But the wounds are healing good and hopefully he will get over the fight and he will be himself soon - cheerful and playful like he is :). It was one happely ending accident. But as it is said - don't worry, it will recover for the wedding :)

But the intsident gave me an input to learn and get to know more about the dog fighting and how to avoid them and when it happens, how to react on them. It's one nasty situation to deal with and every dog-owner should be ready before the fight and know how to prevent or when it's too late then know how to react. Unfortunately there isn't so many good, thorough articles about it :( But here's an article of how to stop dog-fighting to read. How to prevent dog-fights to read . If someone knows some good articles about the theme, please let me know :)
