Dogs speeding contest

Today our day becan with obedience practise in Männiku. Then we played a bit with our school-mates in the forest and after that we went to the Loomade Hoiupaik were the speeding contest for dogs was arranged by dog-school Koerus. It was held during the Loomade Hoiupaik 3. year birthday (http://www.loomadehoiupaik.ee/?section=news&action=view&newsID=52).

We took part of the contest, but unfortunately today Aapo wasn't so fast than he usually is or can be. He was a bit languid from yesterday when it was very busy and active day for us. Aapo's best result was 28,62 km/h in the distant of 50-80 meters. Not so good. But smooth collie Kaira took part of the contest as well and he got 3rd best result in the grown up group. Juhuuu!!! Her best time was 35,47 km/h. But I can ensure it wasn't her very best speeding as much as Ive seen her :) It seemed that it wasn't very good day for the both of smooth. Well better luck next time :)

Pitch&Go, 27.09.2008

Today we participated in the Pitch&Go competition again.

It has become like a hobbie for us to take part in it everytime that it takes place. During the time that it was first held in Estonia in march only once we couldn't take part in it.

This time our aim was to throw the stick on to the ring that gives you the max points - 30.

Result: throws were 11 and we got 230 points. It's our very best result for now. We got 2nd place over 9 dogs :)

Aapo's Birth-home

Today we visited Aapo's birth-home in Lelle. Aapo was happy to meet his mother Kimmu and sister Essa again. They run a lot and Kimmu played and teached his children how to play some football.











After the welcoming playing we took a walk in Lelle's forest and just enjoyed the nature with smooths :)

It was very nice sunday with Aapo's family. Aapo could run and play a lot and now his tired and is sleeping like a baby, for now :)

Rabies testing

Today we went to the Maxy pets-clinic (http://www.lemmikloomakliinik.ee/) and did the rabies testing. The people in the clinic are very friendly and nice. And even while we were waiting the vet, Aapo's nails were cut.








Also Aapo got himself a new cool night blinking-reflector collar, what is very useful at the time where the nights get dark very early.

Dogshow in Ventspils and Tunnels Competition

This week was extraordinary and very busy for as.

Monday was the first lecture of clickertraining teached by dogschool Tubli trainer Svetlana Zolotnikova. Tuesday I bought an i-clicker and then the practise could start.

On Saturday, september 6th we participated in Ventspils national dogshow in Latvia.

Judge: Seamus OATES (Ireland).


Characterization: Mixturing very well, nice long head, good high earset, small dark eyes, nicely rounded muzzle, good bite, nice reach of neck, good lay of shoulder, deep chest, normal topline, good hind and free moving.

Result: EXCELLENT. We got BOB, PP, JCAC and BIG III! :)

Today, on sunday, we took part in competition-game of tunnels what was arranged by dogschools Tubli and TAKO. It was our first competition in agility. We participated in the beginners class and we got 24th place out of 26 :)
